£5 FINE AT MORRINSVILLE CANCELLATION' OF LICENCE [from our own correspondent] MORRINSVILLE, Thursday An accident in the early hours of Christmas moaning, when a mctor-car crashed through a fence in Bank Street, Morrinsville, had a sequel in tho Mqrrinsvillo Police Court yesterday, when Albert Prendergast (Mr. W. J. King) pleaded guilty to driving while in a state of intoxication. Counsel admitted that accused had a drink the previous evening, at the invitation of a friend, because it was Christmas Eve, but attributed tho accident to the two right-angled bends in thestreet and the fact that accused was driving a car ho had only bought that day.

Accused was fined £o, and his licence was cancelled. He was prohibited from obtaining another licence until May 31, J 938.
