A PICNIC HINT
You will not be troubled with flies when picnicking if, before leaving home, you put a piece of sponge in a small tin box fitted with a lid. Sprinkle a few drops of oil of lavender over the sponge, close the lid, and place the tin in your picnic hamper. When about to commence the meal, stand the tin on the ground near the food, and open the lid. Flies will quickly disappear, and you will enjoy your meal in comfort.
