ELDERLY WOMAN MISSING
RESIDENT OF PUKEKOHE HAT FOUND ON RIVER BANK [by TELEGRAPH —OWN* correspondent] PUKEKOHE, Wednesday The disappearance of an elderly widow, Mrs. A. M. Morrin, from her home in Prospect Terrace, Ptikekolie, between 5 and 7 o'clock last evening was followed this morning by the discovery of her hat, handbag and a notebook containing her name and address on the east bank of the Waikato River. The articles were found a chain upstream from the Tuakau Bridge. The discovery was made bv Mr. E. Johns, whoso farm comes down to the river at this point. He informed tho police, and Constable W. Mawhinney, of Pukekohe, with relatives of Mrs. Morrin, procured a launch and dragged the river njit.il dark, but without result. Mrs. Morrin had been in ill-health for some time.
