INSURANCE OF CROPS

AMERICAN RECOMMENDATION LEGISLATION FOR FARMERS WASHINGTON. Dec. 24 The committee set up by President Roosevelt to consider the question of crop insurance has recommended that Congress pass authorising legislation in the coming session to permit wheat farmers to insure against yield losses due to drought, flood and pest. The farmers will pay the cost of insurance. The report urged that the legislation should apply to the 1937 crop.
