BUILDING OF HOMES

HEALTH AND HAPPINESS LORD HORDER'S FOUR POINTS [from our own correspondent] LONDON, Dec. 5 Lord Horder laid down four points for health and happiness when he opened an exhibition of the Now Homes for Old" at Charing Cross Underground station. The points were: Enough of tho right food; suitable shelter at a suitable rent; access to fresh air; and a reasonable amount of leisure and quiet.

Planning of homes was concerned in all these requirements for health and happiness, he said. If rents were too high there was insufficient money for the right food. "You can be comfortable in a slum, but you cannot be healthy there. You can be comfortable in a luxurious West End flat, but you cannot be healthy there either. "1 am not an expert: God help you were L to build your homes, but 1 can tell if the architect or builder lias in mind what he must have for the building of healthy and happy homes."
