WELLINGTON STATION TESTING OF EQUIPMENT [BY T F.I, EG HAITI —PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON, Saturday The now GO-kilowatt transmitter nt Tituhi Bay is to lie put on trial as soon as opportunity offers. The installation is almost completed, find it is intended to carry out tests alter tho ordinary hours of transmission. The date of the official opening is .January "23, but from next .Tuesday the new transmitter will take over tho programmes at present given from 2YA for purposes of testing. Should stoppages ho necessary, the present 21A transmitter will take over the running.
