OBITUARY
MRS. BEN TILLETT WIFE OF LABOUR LEADER LONDON, Dec. 23 Tho death has occurred of Mrs. Ben Tillett, wife of tho English Labour leader. Mr. Bon Tillett, who was tho secretary of the Dock, Wharf, Iliversido and General Workers' Union in Britain and Ireland sinco its inception in 1887 until its amalgamation with the Transport and General Workers' Union in 1922, was born in 1860. Ho represented North Salford in Parliament as a Labour member in 1917-24 and again in 1929-31 and was for many years alderman to the London County Council. He lias made two Empire lecturing tours and several in tho United States.
