MAORI CENTENARIAN

DEATH AT TANGIRAU [FROM OfR OWN correspondent] NGARUAWAHIA, Monday A Maori centenarian, Marumarii Tawahana, has died at Tangirau, a native settlement four miles from I^g a " ruawaliia. His age was believed to be 110 years. He was. a close relative of Tawhiao, the second Maori King. In his youth Mnrumaru took part in the inter-tribal wars of the Maoris, and he also fought against the British forces in the Waikato War.
