FIJIAN BOY SCOUTS

TOUR OF NORTH ISLAND MEMBERS OF SIX TROOPS Made conspicuous by their khaki sulus and shirts and their baro feet n party of six Fijian scouts arrived at Auckland by tho Niagara yesterday to spend four weeks in tho North Island. with them were six Indian scouts, also from Fiji, who, however wore tho customary scout uniform, with tho exception that their trousers were of blue cloth. Representing six troops the scouts aro to spend their time in New Zealand by touring and meeting Now Zealand scouts in the towns they visit. They aro looking forward keenly to seeing the country and yesterday they expressed great admiration for tho scouting movement, which, they said, was firmly established in Fiji. They were met at tho wharf by officers of tho Auckland Metropolitan District I3ov Scouts' Association, who billeted them overnight. To-day they will go to Matamata, for tlio primary purpose of tho tour is to return" a visit that was mado to them during tho winter by Matamata Boy Scouts.
