AERODROME CONTRACT
CHRISTCHURCH SCHEME TENDER OF £13,850 ACCEPTED [HY TELEGRAPH I'RESS ASSOCIATION] CHRISTCHURCH, Monday The Christchurcli City Council tonight accepted a tender of £13,850, the lowest of five submitted, for the formation of a Hying field at the municipal aerodrome at Harewood. It is expected that the work will lie completed in 13 months. The council decided that the total cost, covering the transfer of land, compensation to persons concerned, laying out of the grounds and fencing, should bo mot by a transfer from tne Municipal Electricity Department's funds.
