NEW CHAIRMAN OF BOARD [BY TELKGRAPH —OWN CORRESPONDENT] TAURANGA. Saturday The Tauranga Hospital Board at its meeting this week elected Mr. A. Newsham chairman in place of the lata Mr. A. F. Tunics. The meeting passed a resolution of sympathy with the re-, latives of Mr. Txmks and recorded its appreciation of his services to th« board. It was- decided that steps be tskca to approach the authorities with a request for the appointment of an additional nurse for natives. A request for an addition to tlie board's grant for the St. John Ambulance was deferred. The board appointed the chairman and Mr. A. \V. T. Hyde (o represent it at the proceedings of the commission appointed to report on reconstitution and alteration of boundaries of certain hospital districts. A sitting will he hold at Paeroa next month. It was decided that the Tauranga County Council, Tauranga Borough Council, To Puke Borough Council and the Mount Maunganui Town Board bo asked to appoint representatives to givo evidence before the commission.
