Scenes Of Antarctic Regions

THE DISCOVERY'S VOYAGE Gaumont-British Instructional is making a film reconstruction of the epic voyage of H.M.S. Discovery, the Antarctic research ship. Discovery's sister-ship, the William Scoresbv, will be used as a double for her more famous sister, while the crew, dressed in polar kit, will (ill the roles of Antarctic explorers. "The Voyage of the Discovery" will show scenes never before obtainable, including shots of semi-extinct creatures such as the sea leopard and the Emperor penguin, now eon lined to the more remote parts of the South Pole, and rarely seen except by explorers and venturesome whalers. Perhaps the most rcmarkablo scene of all will bo one showing an enormous whale being used as the fender between the 1500-ton William Scoresbv and a 20,000-tou whale factory ship.
