ST. JOHN AMBULANCE
TAURANGA APPRECIATION Some weeks ago the 'I auranga and near by branches of the Women's Division decided to show their appreciation of the many acts of kindness to country people of the St. John Ambulance by holding a farmers' social. Branches of the division that were too far out to attend the function decided oil a canvass of their districts. Ihe whole scheme was finalised recently and the satisfactory result of £6t was paid over to the St. John Ambulance Association. The amount was made up as follows: —Farmers' social, £l6 19s; Kacikati, £2O l()s (3d; Umokoroa, £H His; Pongakawa, £o 7s; Tematai, £o; Je Puke, £2 10s; Oropi, £2 Lis Gd; Wliakamarama. £2.
