SWIMMING
CARNIVAL AT NORTH SHORE An extensive programme has been arranged for the North Shore Amateur Swimming and Life-saving Club's carnival to be held off Windsor Reserve. Devonporl, next Saturday week. There will lie events for tiny lots, juniors, men arid Indies, while a 50 yards championship for me nbers of the North Shore Club will also be decided. Two relays will be features of the carnival, one for life-saving and swimming clubs and the other for North Shore primary schools. Following are the results: — <i(i 2-3 Yds Senior Men. I>. Ilaigll, ss, 1; I'. Collins. 2s, 2; R. Lane, Is. Time, l(is. soYds Intermediate Men. R. Webb and 11. Fairley, who finished first and second respectively, were disqualified for breaking, the winner being R Nicholls, Bs. M. Weston, Is, was second. Time, 40s. 50Yds Intermediate Girls.- —I).
