Coulter, M.J', for Waikato. The weather, howover, did not prevent a good attendance, and the gate takings fell only £2 short of last year's figures. A feature of the day's programme was the inclusion of a number of military events, including tent-pegging and (lag-racing, which were well received by the spectators, while tho steer-riding events also caused considerable amusement.
