PRISON FOR DESERTER
Sentence of one month's imprisonment was imposed on .lolui Campbell Mackay, aged HI, seaman, who was charged in tlio Police Court yesterday with deserting from the motor-vessel Hangitata at Wellington on April 9. Accused was stated to have surrendered at the Auckland police station on Monday evening.
