WORLD CRUISE
KETCH IDLE HOUR DWIGHT LONG AND TIMI DEPARTURE FROM SINGAPORE [from our own correspondent] By Air Mail SINGAPORE, Oct. 29 'Accompanied only by his Tahitian toy, Timi Tefaaora, T)wight Long, the young American university student who was in Auckland about eight months ago in the course of a world cruise in his 32ft. ketch Idle Hour, continued his voyage to-day. He had been in Singapore for about seven weeks. During that time, the Idle Hour was beached and repainted and the ancient engine, which has been a source of trouble ever since the voyage began, was again overhauled. After calling at Penang. another Malayan port about 500 miles from Singapore, Idle Hour will head across of Bengal to Colombo and on through Suez to England, where 1) wight Long hopes to bo present for the coronation celebrations in May. Then he will make the Atlantic crossing to New York, which will probably be the conclusion of the trip. To complete a circuit of 'the world would necessitate a long and arduous voyage through Panama and up the Pacific Coast to Seattle.
