WHANGAREI CRUISING CLUB [fiiom oi'u ow\ roitin:spo.Nni:NT] WHANG A RBI, Monday The Whanfirarei Cruisiiikt Club officially opened the season on Saturday, when a combined yacht and launch race from Whaiiffarei to Taurikurri was hold, a distance of approximately Hi miles. In the A class section H. Pickmere's Arethusa secured first place, with W. Hisset's Colonist second. In the class for 111-footers and under S. Bell's Charm was first and Sea Urchin secondA larfto number of launches took part iD the race. Tho club held a dance iu the Taurikura Hall in the evening.
