LINER QUEEN MARY
BUFFETING IN STORM TRIBUTES TO BEHAVIOUR LONDON, Nov. 10 Captain R. V. Peel of the liner Queen Mary says the recent Atlantic storm was the longest in his experience, keeping him on the bridge for 60 hours continuously, but the ship handled herself well. She did not roll unduly in spite of the huge seas, and faced head seas admirably. A number of the passengers received minor injuries. The New Zealand Minister of Finance, Mr. Walter Nash, paid a tribute to the vessel's behaviour. Huge waves lashed his cabin window eight decks up.
