DIOCESAN HIGH SCHOOL
OLD GIRLS IN LONDON [from our own correspondent] LONDON, Oct. 17 Tho annual reunion of the Auckland Diocesan High School (English branch) Old Girls' League, opened with luncheon at (i.'ili Buckingham Gate, on October 10, and was followed by a short founders' commemoration service conducted at the chapel of Mary Sumner House, Tufton Street. The meeting was also held at the same building. Among those present, including visitors, were: —Mrs. Neligan, Mrs. F. Button, Mrs. L. Burmester, Miss I. Cox, Miss It. Craws haw, Miss M. Tunks, Miss E. Wood, Miss E. Necker, Miss D. Ironside, Mrs. Mac Lean, Miss A. Klamborowski, Misses I. and E. Galway, Miss M. Heywood, Miss B. Morrison, Miss B. Makgill, Miss E. King, Miss M. Russell, Mrs. C. Hawlinson, Miss C. Earrar, Miss M. Hillary, Miss E. Mackenzie, Misses L. and D. Mahon, Miss W. Stona, Miss G. Butler. Miss B. Abbott. Mrs. H. Watson, Miss M. Downing, -Misses M. and C. Colegrove, Miss G. Court. Miss V. Canavan, Miss U. Cox. Miss D. Morton. Mrs. C. Griffiths, Miss K. Venables, INlrs. Russell, Mis* Dudley. Most interesting news was read from Sister Alice Veronica in Siota, and both Mrs. Griffiths' and Miss Heywood's brief talks were much appreciated. Mrs. Button was elected lion, president of tiie league in recognition of Iter many years of service in tho interests of members as honorary secretary. M iss M. Gunson had succeeded her this year as treasurer and secretary; Mrs. Mac Lean was elected to the committee on the resignation of Miss I. Cox. Tea concluded the proceedings, and special farewells wore extended to Miss Heywood, who left by tho llangitata this week for New Zealand.
