LEAGUE OF MOTHERS

Remuera, No. 3. —At the Inst meeting of the branch, held in the North Memorial Church Hall, an address on pardoning was given by Mrs. J. W. Tattersfield. Great interest was given to the lecture by descriptions and illustrations of famous gardens in England, owned by Lady Bvng, Beverley Nichols and others, recently visited by the speaker. An exhibition of flowers was held, and prizes donated by Mesdanies Silk and Tattersfield were awarded to Mesdanies Ashby, Strathearn and Wigg. Mrs. Hill presented floral tributes to the president, Mrs. I'. D. Wright, the secretary. Mrs. D. Silk, and the treasurer, Mrs. Cox. Misses Dowsett and Collins rendered a pianoforto duct and Mrs. Young vocal solos. Afternoon tea was dispensed by Mesdanies Strathearn, Hutchinson and Williams, and Mrs. Ryder proposed the thought for the month.
