AUCKLAND CENTRE MEETING

The Auckland Amateur Athletic Centre will conduct the first of the season's scratch race meetings at the Lynndale Club's ground on Saturday, starting at 2 p.m. Tile present holder of the champion club banner is the Old Grammarians' G'lub. The events arranged fo' Saturday for all three grades are as follows: —100 yds, 440 yds, 1 mile, 3 miles walk, javelin throw, shot putt, broad jump, high jump. OLD GRAMMARIANS' CLUB There was an attendance of more than 30 members at the second points meeting of the Old Grammarians' Athletic Club held last evening on the Auckland Grammar School ground. A good performance was registered by J. Spooner in the hop, step and jump, his leap of 43ft lin being a club record. A present pupil of the Grammar School, S. W.
