Archdeacon Mac Murray left Auckland yesterday for Taupo, where he will spend a week. Dr. W. Gilmour, pathologist at the *i Auckland Hospital, left for Wellington by the limited express last night. Sir George Shirteliffe, of Wellington, is a passenger by the Akaroa, which is due to arrive at Wellington from London on December 5. Mr. W. Burton, general-manager of John Fuller and Sons and 1 ullerHayward Theatre Corporation, Limited", is visiting Auckland. Sir Charles and Lady Campbell, of Motunau, North Canterbury, are passengers on the Akaroa, which is due at Wellington from London on December 5. Mr. W. L. Mclvor, of the staff of the Paeroa Post Office, has an appointment under the External Affairs Department to the money order branch of the Apia Post Office, Samoa. He will leave by the Maui Romaic at the end of the month. The Hon. J. W. Downie, a delegate from the Salisbury Chamber of Commerce, Southern Rhodesia, to the recent congress or the I'ederation of Chambers of Commerce of- the British Empire, is at the Grand Hotel. He will leave New Zealand by the Awatea on Tuesday. Canon W. G. Williams, vicar of Aramolio, Wanganui, has been appointed Co the newly-created post ot organiser of Maori church work for the dioceses of Waiapn and Wellington, with headquarters at Napier. He will assist Bishop Bennett, in the more effective organisation of work in the native pastorates. Mr. H. R. Neas, chief clerk of the electrical branch. Public Works Department, Hamilton, has received notice of his transfer to Paeroa. He will be succeeded by Mr. J. «J. Huthnance, of Taumnrunui. Mr. G. L. In wood, clerk in charge at the Public Works Department, Paeroa, has received notice of his transfer to a similar position at Wanganui. Mr. John Macmillan, managing director of the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company, Limited, is to visit Australia and New Zealand to deal with important matters of Imperial shipping policy. He left England on October 16 by the Strathaird, which is due at Sydney on November 26. Mr. Macmillan will spend a month in. Australia, and then visit the four main centre* of th<p Dominion before returning to England by the Tamaroa on February 26.
