OFFICIALS IN SAMOA
SEVERAL PENDING CHANGES retirements and transfers [from our own correspondent] APIA, Sept. 17 There will bo an exodus from Samoa of Administration officials before the end of the year, as several have completed their terms of service in the territory. Messrs. Rutherford, Education Director, and Dunwoodie, radio superintendent and chief postmaster, will retire on superannuation. Messrs. McCufloch, auditor, Crowther and Roberts, Treasury, McAlpine, native affairs. Sutton and McMillan, police, and Prout, post office, are being transferred, having completed their service. Mr. R. T. Ott, manager of the largo Taunamato plantation, will leave on extended furlough oarly next month. He intends to visit South America to stud/ methods of cocoa planting and preparation, and will subsequently proceed t° Germany for tho remainder of his holiday.
