PRISON FOR MOTORIST

CHARGE OF INTOXICATION DRIVING WITHOUT LICENCE [Br TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION] HASTINGS, Wednesday Sentence of five weeks' imprisonment and a line of £lO was imposed by Mr. J. Miller, S.M., on John Franklin in the Magistrate's Court to-day, when lie was oharged with being intoxicated in charge of a car, and with driving without a licence. He was also disqualified from holding a licence for three years. Accused Mas fined £ls last week on i similar charge, and was warned by the magistrate that in future the Court would have to consider sending such offenders to gaol. Four hours later accused was again arrested for a similar offence.
