GRAMMAR SCHOOL BATHS
OFFER FROM OLD BOYS > FINANCING CONSTRUCTION The gift of a modern swimming hath :o the Auckland Grammar School by ;he old boys of the school was mooted jy a deputation from the Old Boys' Association that waited on the school )oard of governors at its meeting yes:erday. The proposed baths would bo 00ft. by 50ft. and would cost £6OOO. Micro would be a stand capable of holdng 300 people. The deputation sought the bonrd's ipproval of such a scheme. The presilent of the Old Boys' Association, dr. J. Victor Macky, said that among lie old boys it was thought there ivere inough men of standing and influence o finance the construction of the laths. However, this might take years ir might tako a much shorter period. The hoard accepted the association's iffer with thanks.
