CHALLENGE COMPETITIONS ONEHUNGA CLUB'S SUCCESS BT BKIP The usual challenge bowling competitions were continued on Saturday under fairly good conditions. The digger badges were the only trophies to change hands. Cross led by eight points to one on the fifth head, but even scoring took place on the next six heads. The score was 13—5 in Cross' favour with 11 heads played. The challengers took complete command from this stage, and they finished with a margin of 22 points. The Onehunga rink was much too strong for the Transport team. S. The holders were extended all the way, and it was only on the last few heads that they gained a commanding position. Grey Lynn scored on 11 of the 21 heads. The Mount Eden team was the first to score, two singles and a two resulting on the first three heads. Grey Lynn retaliated with a four and a single on the next two heads. However, Farley and the now members of tho Rocky Nook team were equal to the occasion. Tho Rocky Nook players secured a good start on the opposition, scoring 13 points before Glen Eden opened its account.
