MANY FINE BLOOMS
MOUNT ALBERT DISPLAY DAFFODILS OF QUALITY A record of over 200 entries? and some particularly fins flowers were on display at the Mount Albert Horticultural Society's third spring show, which was opened by the Mayor of Mount Albert, Mr. H. A. Anderson, at St. George's Hall'yesterday afternoon. The daffodils were well up to the standard of any blooms exhibited in Auckland this year, while the cut flower section also received much praise. One of the features of the show; was a spectacular stage display, which was arranged by Mrs. J. W. Tattersfield.
Tho judges were Messrs. F. Penn, N. It. W. Thomas and J. H. Braithwaite. Following were tho awards:— Champion of Champions and Champion Yellow Trumpet.—Mr. R. Hart's Cleopatra.
