INDUSTRIAL STRIFE
RECURRENCE IN FRANCE TEXTILE MILLS OCCUPIED PARIS, Sept. 13 Although the Minister of Labour, M. Salengro, induced the textile strikers to evacuate mills, the employers refused his mediation because he is the Socialist Mayor of Lille and hitherto has been a conspicuous leader of campaigns against the employers. The unions thereupon reoccupied the mills last night without incident. The position is again very acute. In response to M. Salengro's appeal, the Prime Minister, M. Blum, left for Lille to-day to confer with the parties.
