MR. BENNETT'S TOUR
MEETING WITH MR. SAVAGE ' *• i DEPARTURE FOR SOUTH ISLAND [BY TELEGBAPH —PHESS ASSOCIATION*] . WELLINGTON, Monday The former Prime Minister of Canada, the Rt. Hon. R. B. Bennett, arrived in Wellington to-day from the north. He met the Prime Minister, Mr. Savage, with whom he had half on hour's conversation. He later had luncheon with Mr. Ravage, member of the Cabinet and a number of members of both Houses of Parliament. During the morning Sir. Bennett paid a visit of inspection to the Union Steam Ship Company's new liner Awatea. Mr. Bennett, who has visited a number or North Island centres during the past week, left for the South Island tonight. He will return to Wellington lit the week-end.
