THE AUSTRALIAN TEAM
COMING TOUR OF ENGLAND
STRICT RIMS IMPOSED [from OUli OWN correspondent] , ' SYDNEY, Sept. 10 ■; An Australian women's cricket team is to tour England next year, arriving in London shortly before the coronation and beginning their matches in June. The members will have to sign an agreement even more rigorous than that imposed by the Board of Control oil Australian test teams.
The agreement provides that the play, ers shall not drink or gamble, shall smoke only in moderation, and shall not be accompanied by husbands, relatives or friends. The ban on drinking i s ' drawn up to cover the whole side, that members who do not drink will not offend hostesses at any time by refusals. Players must not smoke at any time during a match, at practice, or in dressing rooms.
Other clauses m the agreement provide that members of the team shall not visit after dinner the top Jerk of tHe liner on which they travel to England, and that they shall be in bed by. 10 p.m. They shall not,write for the press. The members must each have. 39 articles in their kits, ranging from actual cricket dress to a skipping rope, and including a hotwater bottle, two erening dresses, a bathing suit, a traveU ling rug, two dinner frocks, a reception dress, two afternoon dresses, dresses for the boat and deck games, three washing dresses, two sweaters, three divided skirts, six white shirts, six pairs of stockings, a blazer, a raincoat, a topcoat, and a light coat, one coat and skirt outfit, and six pairs of tennis socks.
During the tour each girl will hare 15s a week on the journey to and from England, and 30s a week while in Eng. land and in Holland, where the team will also play.
