RANGITAIKI DEFENCE CLUB [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] WHAKATANE, Monday Trophies won during tho season were presented at tho annual meeting of tho Rangitaiki Defenco Rifle Club to the following:— W. Moore, I. Moore, L. Mikkelsen, C. Penny, S. Mikkelsen, E. Morey. Tho championship cup was won by W. Mooro and tho handicap aggregate cup by L. Mikkelsen. W. Moore won tho Bay of Plenty Belt championship shoot for the second year. Officers wero olected as follows: —President, Mr. R. Wilson; hon. secretary, Mr. W. Moore; patron, Mr. F. J. Reynolds; deputies, Messrs. J. Rutherford, S. Mikkelsen, C. Penny; shooting committee, Messrs. W. Moore, R. Wilson, S. Mikkelsen, C. Penny, R. L. Inncs; range officer, Mr. It. Wilson; auditor, Mr. R. French; handicappers, Messrs. W. Moore, C. Penny. It was decided to open tho new soason on October 10.
