LABOUR ON SHEEP FARMS
Sir, —I would like to ask, through the medium of your paper, the following questions. Throughout the Government policy re wages, I have yet to see a statement as to how the sheep farm labourer stands regarding wages. Labour on dairy farms and apparently most other groups of labour, have been, or are in the process of being attended to in regard to wages and hours, so I would like to ask the following questions:—Are we to come under the dairy farm labour classification? Also what is the 1931 standard of wages for sheep farm labour and from what date are we entitled to receive it? In reference to our classification, if we do not come under the dairy farm labour, what are we classified as? Inquisitor
