PRESENTATIONS
A presentation was made at tho Hmitfv CoiirtliotisG yesterday to Constablo" E, L. Walton, who has been "senior eonsta'blo in charge of the Huntly police station, and is leaving on transfer to Point Chevalier. The Mayor, Mr. W. p. K. George, pre-
sided over a representative gathering of business men and residents. On their behalf he presented to Mr: Walton a pair of silver-mounted brushes. Presentations were also mado to Mrs. Waltoji and Miss Walton. I A farewell function was held on Saturday at tho Huntly School of Mines. On behalf of those present Mr. J. ! S. Scoullar made a presentation of it (fountain pen, .suitably inscribed, to Mr. Walton.

Geraghty, .who has retired after 35 years' service in tho maintenance branch of't}\6 departments Mrs. Geraghty was presented with a salad jet. The presentations were made bv Mr. M. Hurtiphries, of the Auckland district'engineers' office, who congratulate 4 Mr. Geraghty on his fiue record, i Business men, fellow commercial travellers and friends bade farewell to Mr. R. B. Clouston at a function at Whangarei last week. Mr. Clouston has for the past 29 years been the North Auckland representative for Macky, Logan, Caldwell, Limited, and is taking up a position in the Warehouse of the firm ,in Auckland. A presentation ■was made of two upholstered fireside ■chairs. *
