HUME PIPE COMPANY improvement in business The Hume Pipe Company , (Australia), Limited, Melbourne, reports a net profit of £34,005 for the year ended June 30, compared with £23,050 earned in the previous year and £5013 for 1933-34. A final dividend of 5 per cent per annum makes the year's distribution 5 per cent compared with 4 per cent m the previous year. Tho dividend requires £25,000. A sum of £lo*ooo has been transferred to reserve, and £11,849 is carried forward,against £12,843 brought forward. The directors report that the improvement in business was maintained •throughout the year. The New Zealand figures show a considerable improyement, and the increased profits were spread over the whole field of the company's activities. There are indications of a further increase in the company's business.
