TOURIST TROPHY RACE DIXON AND DOBSON WIN British Wireless RUGBY, Sept. 6 The International Tourist Trophy Rftce was held y«sterday over the Ards Circuit, near Belfast. The contest was won by F. W. Dixon and C. J. P. Dobson, driving a Riley, in 5h 11m, at an average speed of 78.01 miles an hour. E..R. Hall was second in a Bentley in oh 12m, at an average speed of 80.8] miles an hour, and A. F. P. Fane, third, in a Frazer-Nash-8.M.W., in 5h 20m 465, at an average speed of 77.32 miles an hour. J * The principal road race held m th** British Isles, the annual contest over the famous Ards circuit, has added another victory to the long list of successes achieved by F. W. Dixon, the most daring driver in Britain. He won the race last year, also ill a Riley, prepared and tuned by himself. Both Dixon and his co-driver, Dodsoii, are racing drivers who first gained prominence as racing motor-cyclists. Dodson ha 3 not previously figured prominently with Riley cars, but Dixon has gained most of his very many victories with machines of that make, which he drives almost exclusively.
