ENLARGED AIRPORT
NEW PLYMOUTH PLAN AGREEMENT REACHED [BY TELEGRAPH OWN CORRESPONDENT] NEW PLYMOUTH. Monday The disagreement between the New Plymouth Borough Council and the Public Works Department regarding conditions governing tho work of extending the New Plymouth airport has now been settled, and the work is to be continued. Agreement was reached following representations by a deputation from the Borough Council, which waited on the Milliliter of Public' Works, the Hon. R. Sen pie, at Wellington. The estimated cost is £63,200, and it is expected that work will be provided for 200 men: for a year, the cost of labour being assessed at £50,900, to be paid by the Public Works Department. The Borough Council is to provide an additional 70 acres of land to be incorporated in extensions, and is to contribute a total of £4150 in connection with the additional land, the money to,by paid in three yearly instalments.
