CARD AFTERNOON
There was a large attendance of ladies at a bridge afternoon held at the residence of Mrs. I. Brock last Thursday by the gardening circle of the Helensville Women's Institute. The rooms were decorated with bowls of spring flowers and greenery. Mrs. Brock was assisted by Mesdames C. G. Sandin, W. Sandin and W. E. Hunt in serving afternoon tea. The prize-winners were Mesdames Hough, Price and Dods. Also present were:—Mesdames J. Bradly, J. Lambert. W. J. Ellett, Parsons (Auckland), Walters (Auckland). Coutts, Willis, uarev, Haven, Fowler, Stinson, Frost, West, J. Wilson, H. Wilson, Thomson, Livesey, Dwerryhouse, Sheffield, Quarrie, Mueller, Mackie, Stanaway, Birnio and Rennie, Misses B. Wilson, Carey, Patterson, Jefferson and McGhio.
