AMATEUR TOURNEY CHAMPIONSHIP WINS [BY TELECKAI'H —PRKSS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON, Monday The New Zealand amateur boxing championships concluded in the Wellington Town Hall to-night. The bouts throughout were spirited and keenly contested, all going the full distance. The Governor-General, Viscount Galway, was an interested spectator. The Jamieson Belt, for the most scientific boxer at the tournament, was awarded to N. Jenkin (Oamaru), who, although beaten by R. Baker (Southland) in the light-weight semi-final in the morning, showed in all his matches that he is a boxer of class, who with more experience should go a long way in the game.

By winning the welter-weight title, W. G. Parris (Wellington) won the Morgan Cup, which he also held in 1934. The Parisian Cup was won by F. Hopkins Olanawatu), as winner of the light-weight class.
