DEATH OF FARMER
VERDICT AT INQUEST [BV TEfvICGRAPH OWN CORRKHPONDKNt] WHANGAREI. Monday ' The adjourned inquest concerning the death of Mr. Frank Leslie Bourke Linnell, farmer, of Poroti, who was found in a creek on August 21, was concluded to-day by the district coroner, Mr. G. H. Morrish, J.P. Evidence was given by Dr. H. F. Buckley that death was due to drowning. The witness said he had perused ' the medical history of the deceased, which covered his military service. Ho had also spoken to deceased's wife and , to Dr. G. Walker, who had attended deceased recently. Witness was of the opinion that deceased met his death as a result of mental derangement. y Tho coroner returned a verdict of death by drowning as a result of a deranged mind, the foundation of which lay in deceased's war service.
