DUNEDIN FISH SHORTAGE
EXCEPTIONAL RISE IN FRICE SEQUEL TO BAD WEATHER [by telegraph—press association] DUNEDIN, Monday A scarcity of fish has sent prices soaring. For a fortnight now fishermen have been shorebound and last week crayfish realised 36s a sack, as against the usual 17s; flounders, 9s a dozen, against 3s 6d, and soles 82s a case, against 30s. Even the despised red cod to-day realised 33s a case, against the usual 10s.
