HEAVY RAIL TRAFFIC
EXPRESS TRAIN DELAYED SNOW AT NATIONAL PARK [by telegraph OWN correspondent] WELLINGTON, Saturday The limited express from Auckland was delayed by heavy train traffic and arrived 35 minutes late. Special trains from Auckland, Napier, New Plymouth, Taumarunui, Feiiding and Otaki brought about 4000 passengers for the Rugby test.
The limited from Auckland was delayed at National Park, where the passengers alighted and engaged in snowballing. The fun was enjoyed so much that the railway officials had difficulty in persuading the passengers to return to their carriages. .
