ACT OF SABOTAGE

AEROPLANES DAMAGED Vandals enter hangars . (Received September 6, 5.5 p.m.) _ PERTH, Sept. 0 Three aeroplanes were almost wrecked in their hangars by vandals, involving the' Aerial Commerce Company and others in a loss of more than £IOOO. Significance is lent to tho happening by. the fact that the German honorary consular agent, Herr H. C. Ittcrshagcn, who is manager of the company, has filed a protest with the Consul-Genoral for Australia. Tho perpetrators of the outrage appear to have climbed through a skylight to attack the aeroplanes. These were owned by Mrs. Ittershagen and Crude Oil Tractors, Limited. Mrs. Ittershagen recently opened negotiations with tho German Geophysical Company with a view to the utilisation of the aeroplanes in the search for oil in the north-west. These negotiations now will have to be abandoned.
