GORDON BENNETT RACE
ONE BALLOON MISSING BELGIAN'S LONG FLIGHT (Received September 6, 6.35 "p.m.) WARSAW, Sept. 5 Five more balloons in the Gordon Bennett race have landed, and one Polish entrant is still missing. Two of the Polish balloons were found near Leningrad. One had drifted 870 miles and the other 990 miles. The best performance so far has apparently been that of a Belgian balloon piloted by M. Demuyter, who landed north-east of Archangel, in the north of Russia, after having covered 1125 miles as the crow flies.
