THEFT CHARGE FAILS
DISMISSED IN LOWER COURT In a report of a case heard in the Magistrates' Court at Dargaville published on Saturday, it was incorrectly stated that the accused, William Ferndon Fast pleaded guilty. This was due to an unfortunate error in the telegraphed report. As the tenor of the report indicated, the accused pleaded not guilty and the Magistrate dismissed the charge against him without calling evidence for the defence.
