"NEW MOON"
BRIGHT MUSICAL PLAY Written by Oscar Harnmorstcin and with music by Sigmund Romberg, author and composer respectively, of the memorable "Desert Song," the Drury Lane success "New Moon" will commence an Auckland season at His Majesty's Theatre on Friday night. An outstanding cast has been assembled by the Auckland Operatic Society and chorus and ballet rehearsals have been conducted regularly over the lust few months. No stone has been left unturned in an endeavour to make the production measure up to professional standards and there is no doubt that a musical treat'awaits Auckland audiences.. Scenery, properties and costumes come from Australia, being identical with those used in the J. C. Williamson production of the same name in Sydney and Molbourno. Overseas critics have described "New Moon" as "a production of beauty and loveliness" and "in a class by itself." Booking arrangements are advertised.
