POSTMASTER RETIRES

[BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] NELSON, Thursday Mr. H. T. Dawson, chief postmaster at Nelson, who has retired on superannuation, was entertained at a largo gathering of the combined staffs. Reference was made to the very high esteem in which Mr. Dawson was held, and presentations were made to Mr. and Mrs. Dawson. Mr. A. N. Wallace, chief postmaster at Blenheim, succeeds Mr. Dawson, and took up. his duties to-day.
