WRESTLING
McCREADY TO MEET DAVIS One of the heaviest and most aggressive wrestlers to visit the Dominion is "Wee Willie" Davis, who will be opposed to the British Empire champion, Earl McCready, in a bout to be held at His Majesty's Theatre next Tuesday evening. Davis, who is 6ft 6in in height and weighs ISV a stone, is very active for his size. He had a brilliant amateur career and he soon proved his worth when he moved into the professional ranks. Although capable of revealing solid wrestling ability, Davis prefers to make the exchanges open and lively and he can be depended upon to give an attractive display. He will be meeting strong opposition in McCready, who has un undefeated record in New Zealand. The following amateur prelinnnaries have been arranccd: —J.
