SEMI TO MEET LUTTRELL Val Liittrell, the New Zealand heavyweight boxer, who lias been brought, frotn Australia by the Auckland Doxinpr Association. has not an easy task at the Town lfall on Monday nkhf, when lie will be opposed by Semi, the hea vy-weicht champion of Fiji and Tonpra. The latter has scored '-'ft wins in succession by knock-outs in Imuts in the Islands and be won from Claude Nicol on a foul after seven rounds of hard ficrhtintr in Auckland last week. After a successful career as an Amateur Luttrell turned professional and scored several wins in the south before itoinc to Australia. where he earned an excellent, reputation as a hard fichter. The appearance of the Fijian nerainst, Luttrell is creating a ureal deal of attention, and it is expected that a thrilling contest will result. A fine amateur programme will support tho main event.

PALMER VERSUS ROSENBLOOM
(Received September 3, 6.5 p.m.) SYDNEY, Sept. 3 The boxing contest at, the Sydney Stadium between Palmer and Rosenbloom has been officially declared off. There have been several disputes between Palmer and tho promoters.
