This is the second occasion on which an election for directors has not been B.e?essary.
ASHBURTON PURCHASE ALPINE COMPANY ABSORBED [by TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] ASIIISUKTON, Thursday In . accordance with tho principle of amalgamation recommended by tho Commission of Agriculture, tho Ashburton Co-operative Dairy Company lias purchased the Alpine Dairy Company, of Timaru. Tho Alpine Company retains the name, and the staff is unaffected. It is expectod that its output will be doubled in 12 months. The Ashburton company took over the Mount Hutt Company at Methven Inst March.
